Cyber Criminal Arrested For Attempting To Rob His Victim At Berekum

The Berekum police has arrested a 24 years old Kwame Nti Kumshum who is alleged to have wanted to rob a friend who he has been chatting with on phone for almost a month from Accra.

The victim Enoch Wordui who travelled from Accra Mateiako in the Greater Accra Region to meet his friend in Berekum which one of the suspect who is now on the run posed as a girlfriend to the victim.

The police managed to arrest an accomplice after the victim suspected a foul play of his visit to his friend. The police found on a suspect a cutlass, catapult, ninja type face mask and a small bag with him.

The suspects in their plan to rob the victim engaged a lady to meet the victim at his hotel so that she will led him to their hide out which is an outskirt of Berekum for him to be robbed.

Chief Inspector J. B. Kkwakye reading the facts of the case at the Berekum circuit court narrated that, the victim became suspicious and engaged the lady in an interview and the lady who disclosed to the victim the plots about how the suspects have planned to robbed him of his visit to them from Accra.

The victim upon the information reported the whole thing to the Berekum Police for their arrest since they presume to be girls instead of boys.

The suspect Kwame Nti Kumshum at court has been reminded to prison custody by the Berekum Circuit court presided over by his Honour Osei Kofi Amoako and will reappear before court on the 15th October, 2020.
