GHANAFLAVER INSIGHT: Ghana likely to record low percentage in voting come December Polls due to COVID -19

Stats and research by ghanaflaver for the past weeks since the commencing of the new voter registration has proven that Ghana may this year record a low percentage in voting.

The outbreak of the novel pandemic (COVID – 19) which Ghana recorded its first two cases in March has caused fear and panic in some Ghanaians.

Ghanaflaver in an interview with some Ghanaians, about a percentage of 85 said, though, they will register for the Voter’s Identification Card but will deny themselves voting due to the pandemic.

“We will register for the ID card but we will not vote because no one wants to die now”

25 of the percentage also said they will vote but will make sure the safety measures are put in place by the government and electoral commission (EC).

“It is mandatory for every Ghanaian to vote to elect a leader, so we will vote but the government and E.C must make sure the necessary safety are put in place”.

Meanwhile, amongst the 25 percent, some said they will vote ‘Skirt and blouse’

The Electoral Commission has completed its phase one of registering. Areas of the phase one included the following in the document below.

The next phase will be sent to various online platforms soon.
