“I have switched to dancehall because Patapaa started copying my Jama-like songs” – Lil Win
Actor cum musician Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has said he has decided to make a switch from producing Jama-like songs to dancehall to bar Patapaa from copying his style.
According to him, the ‘One Corner’ hitmaker came into the limelight by studying his craft and replicating it thus he decided to let go of it and embrace a different which he believes Patapaa does not have the know-how to copy.
“I am the only star who is a legend in movies and music. It hardly happens but I have made it because God’s grace on me is greater and I cannot be destroyed.
“I was producing Jama-like songs until Patapaa also came to the system with his songs,” he bragged.
Speaking in an interview on a Kumasi-based radio station, he disclosed settling for dancehall was the best option for him, adding the Swedru-based cannot do that genre of music.
However, he added that he will be moving into other genres like Highlife should Patapaa continue to pursue and copy from him.
Lil Win and Patapaa have been in the news in recent times for what they describe as ‘beef’ which clearly is not of a big concern to many industry players and Ghanaians since both individuals are still at the learning stages of their crafts.
