The National Science & Maths Quiz 2020 is currently ongoing as schools compete to show off their prowess with the main objective to promote the study of the sciences and mathematics, help students develop quick thinking and a probing and scientific mind about the things around them, while fostering healthy academic rivalry among senior high schools.

Well today had a ‘clash’ between two top schools in Ghana — Kumasi Academy and Mfantsipim School.

From the start, a lot of people expected Mfantsipim to floor Kumasi Academy but the unexpected happened when the latter took the former by surprise.

The two-time winners of the quiz who pride themselves with thinking ahead obviously did not see the ‘Kumerica’ boys coming as they ended the contest 18 points behind the winners.

Kumasi Academy finished as shark slayers with 53 points while St. Mary’s ended the contest with 30 points.

Well, the Mfantsipim boys were caught under the heat of the moment that they couldn’t even spell the name of their school well.

Instead of ‘Mfantsipim school‘, they wrote ‘Mfanstipim school‘ on the marker board when it got to the time when they were to solve a word problem on the marker board.
